A Tu-134 passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport because of an engine fire Siberia. The information bulletin RIA Novosti on Friday (10/14/2011) was obtained from the local Emergencies Ministry. Until now, 67 passengers and 7 crew successfully evacuated safely.
Jet’s left engine fire during takeoff. The pilot then landed the ill-fated plane in Novy Urengoi in the territory of Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district.
Investigating the cause of the fire was underway. The plane was owned Yamal airlines.
In June, a Tu-134 jet crashed in northwestern Russia during foggy weather. The incident killed 47 passengers and injuring six others.
